I am deeply sorry for another delay but I am having problems with my hosting site and have to wait til the AM to call and get some help with it. Sassy Studio Tutorial #10

Welcome to another fun Sassy Studio. This is my first time creating a tutorial and I really hope I am doing this right :) I got so many comments about the notecards I posted on my blog awhile back that I asked Lindsey if I could do a tutorial here on them. I got this great from another blog and really liked how she created these great simple notecards for quick gifts. (Now I just need to come up with a great way to package them)



Supplies:
c/s stock (Gina K. is great for not bleeding through I've been told, but I used PTI and got a little bleed through on it)
copics for coloring in the images
you images (I am using three of the images being released on 12/15)
your computer and printer for the images :)
and a black pen - I used Copic's .1 multiliner (or another color of choice)



The first thing I did was open up the computer program I use for my Sassy images (I use PSE 6), open a blank 8.5x11 page as well as the images I wanted to use. Once they were all opened I pulled the images over to my blank sheet and shrank them to a size I liked and put them in their final place. Since these notecards are 4.25 x 5.5 in size the images were place in the lower left and righter corner leaving about a 1/4 of an inch on the sides of them from the edge.


Once I got them placed where I wanted them I printed out my page and cut them apart.





I colored my images after I cute them and them with a pencil I lightly marked all sides at the 1/4" mark and then connected them.








After the borders were all traced out I then went back with my black pen and drew the border box leaving some space around each image. Then I went back to a couple of the images and added either some glitter or glossy accent for a little extra touch of pow.

These were make great stocking stuffers or even teacher gifts. I can't wait to see what ya'll come up with.

Announcing some winners

I am sorry everyone I havent been very good and posting winners I have been gone on weekends a lot there was thanksgiving weekend we were visiting family and last weekend and this weekend hubby and I have been helping on church youth (confirmation) retreats its been great fun but I admit I have faultered and not been 100% on top of my game.... so lets catch up on some winners shall we!?!?!

12/3/09-12/9/09 was an inspiration challenge! We featured this fabulous picture we found online and asked you to create something inspired by it...

And the winner is...... Beadz with this fabulous creation!!!! She used the home for the holiday image. Her coloring was beautiful and all the details are simply amazing!!!

Next up was 11/26/09 - 12/2/09 We had a recipe challenge! The Recipe was... 3 designer papers, 1 decorative edge, brads and an ssd iamge of your choice

and the winner was.....Annie!!!! with this simply adorable card featuring our Waiting for Christmas girl image!!!I love the hints of glitter ( I do love bling he hee) but it was cleanand sleek and done very very well!

So next up to get us caught up is 11/19/09 - 11/25/09 We had a Recipe CARD challenge....not like our recipe challenge above where we gave you the ingredients and you created with it...but to actually creat something using an SSD image that contained a recipe

Ok and one last one and we are done!!! he hee 11/12/09 - 11/18/09 we had a color Challenge asking you to use 3 of 4 featured colors. Those colors included a golden yellow, and orange, a brown and an eggplant color

Good Morning everyone!!!! HI this is Lindsay, Poor Val has been going crazy this week with so much going on and getting ready to leave on a trip to visit a friend (Hoilday season and all) So I stepped in to help her out a little...plus this Challenge was one of my ideas he hee so I thought It would be fun to announce it myself...

This weeks Challenge is Holiday Treats!!!

Holiday Treats my fav past time of the holidays is baking and cooking with my parents and grandparents and great grandma and great aunt etc so I want to visit that idea...it can be anything inspired by holiday treats! so maybe you want to make a treat bag or wrapper or a label for home made jam, maybe you want to use a sweet treat image and make it christmasy, maybe you want to do treat boxes or wrappers for candies, maybe you do altered containers for a cookie exchange surprise me and let your imaginations run wild! All you need to do is make sure it has something to do with some sort of treat and is holiday themed

This 1st one is a treat carrier by Sara inside it holds Hot Cocoa mix!

Next we have a duo by Piali! She did a custom gift in a jar of hot cocoa with extra goodies in it as well as a matching card

This one is by lelia! she used one of our Sweet Treats images (my favorite ove actually he hee) Cupcake Carli and dressed her up for the holiday season I love it!
